Llewellyn James Cox, Ph.D.

Overview

Llewellyn Cox is co-founder and CEO of BioBuilt, a biotech startup accelerator based in LA. He is also a founder of Lab Launch, Los Angeles' leading non-profit biotech incubator network.

Llewellyn received a PhD in Molecular and Cell Biology at Cardiff University, before moving to New York City to perform postdoc research in neuroscience at Weill Cornell Medical College. He has also worked in research development and program management at LA area institutions including City of Hope and USC.

Llewellyn is a serial entrepreneur, having launched and scaled a number of biotechnology-related startups in both non-profit and for-profit sectors. He is co-chair of the LA Area Startup Resources Committee for trade association Biocom and an adviser to the LARTA  Institute.
