Kathryn Henckels is a Senior Scientist in Process Development at Amgen where she leads a team focused on establishing cell therapy capabilities. Kathryn received her PhD in Biological Sciences and MA in Biotechnology from Columbia University, and her BS from the University of Michigan. Directly after undergrad, Kathryn spent four years at Janssen pharmaceutical in the Mechanistic Toxicology group within Preclinical Drug Development. After completing her graduate studies, she worked in Discovery Research at Amgen establishing high-throughput assays for target validation in the Inflammation department.

Dr. Henckels will share her work experience in Discovery Research and Process Development at Amgen, and offer insights for those seeking research careers in the industry.
